NCFE level 2 Certificate in Cabin Crew Have you always wanted to be Cabin Crew or are you interested in what the career involves?
Commencing in October
2011 we will be offering the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Cabin Crew. This highly acclaimed course is designed specifically
for those who want to pursue a career with the airlines and is offered to applicants over the age of 17.
Although
please note, the minimum age for entry into a career in airline work is eighteen. Our
fast track Industry approved course is
delivered over nine intensive days of training which is divided into two blocks of five and four days. On each day our delivery
is from 9am to 5.30pm . This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge associated with the role and responsibilities
of both long haul and short haul cabin crew. Each training block is spaced two weeks apart to allow time for you to consolidate
your learning and complete the assessed assignments related to the training days.
Course content:· Grooming, appearance,
dress and behaviour
A typical roster and types of duties, pay and hours of work
Chain
of command
Aviation terminology,
IATA terms and the phonetic alphabet
Health,
safety and security
Dangerous
goods and customs allowances
Incidents,
emergency procedures and equipment
Survival
situations
Aviation medical
Attend a Pre-flight briefing
Perform the safety demonstration
Cabin and duty free service
Problem solving, complaint handling
and service recovery
Customer
service skills, first impressions and communication
The Application form and how to complete it
The stages of the interview, individual interview and assessment
The
Trainers:
Our Trainers have experience
in airline recruitment, as well as flying as economy, business and first class cabin crew. We also have experience as airline
cabin crew trainers and onboard managers for a variety of British and international airlines. The venue:
Most of the
course days are held in our own training facilities close to East Midlands Airport with one day practical delivery using specialised
mock cabin training facilities as used by airlines.
We would remind you at this point that if seeking employment,
Industry guidelines stipulate height between 5' 2" (152cm) and 6' 2" (182cm) to guarantee reach
to overhead storage and weight in proportion
to this .
